"I'm awake," Blue calls, padding out of her bedroom in bare feet and a huge t-shirt over boyshorts; combing bedhead into more intentional spikes with her fingers. She tries to sound grumpy, but the truth is, the cacophony is really sort of wonderful, the smell of pancakes inviting and the laughter making her feel warm.
