"No," Noah says, and gives Freddie a look, like see how easy that was? He wouldn't have been so blunt if he thought Freddie actually wanted another date, but he knows he's just being sarcastic.

"But hey, actually, can I ask you something? Was I okay? Like, the other stuff," he adds, looking plainly at Freddie, fixing his expression so that he won't at least look as vulnerable as he feels in that moment. He isn't convinced he wants to do any of that again with Freddie now, but for sure if Freddie wasn't even into that he's not going to broach it.
