Noah doesn't know what part of this is a habit, but at the moment he honestly doesn't care.
"You didn't have to say yes, you know," he says, moving his arm out of Freddie's grip. "When I asked you out, you could have just said no." Freddie could have said anything; that he wasn't into dating, that Noah was too young, that he just wasn't into Noah like that. It would have sucked to hear, but thinking Freddie had been interested and then sitting through that movie like an idiot was worse. He'd hoped this wouldn't come up, he hadn't expected a jab about the damn thing. He just wanted to blow Freddie again and feel good for a little while.
