It's the look Noah shoots him that has him grinning this time, guilt washing away into something like approval. Noah may be young, may be far sweeter than someone like Freddie deserves, but he can clearly still give as good as he's getting.
The question Noah poses only solidifies that. Freddie's eyebrows lift in surprise and he says nothing at all for a moment before letting out a quick breath of a laugh. He takes another sip of his beer and then reaches back behind himself to set it on the bar before turning back to face Noah. Reaching out, he curls his hands behind Noah's thighs and pulls in him close, head tipped back to grin up at him.
"I'd never have said yes to the date if you weren't," Freddie says rather bluntly as he slides his hands up to Noah's hips. He cocks his head then, gaze dropping to wander down the stretch of Noah's chest and up again before he adds, "Honestly, that night was the best I'd had since I got here. What's that tell you?"
