But then Noah slides closer, bumping his elbow into Ronan's arm as his voice drops quieter. Slowly, the buzz under Ronan's skin settles and he lets out a breath. He doesn't smile, doesn't bare his teeth. But he does glance over at Noah, studying him closely. There's no reason to ask why Noah might be scared for him; Ronan already knows. Noah and Gansey are the only two who've seen Ronan covered in a mess of his own blood, they're the only two who've seen how fucked it can get.
His lips twist then, as does his stomach and he forces himself to ask, "You happy with this guy? Like... dating or just fucking around or whatever. Are you happy?"
